High-genetic cow-calf genetics from the Andrews Family — grass-fed, solar-powered, and rooted in the Virginia highlands.
The Andrews Family
Andrews Farms is a family-run registered Black Angus operation nestled in the Appalachian highlands of Scott County, Virginia. Mike and Tammy Andrews built this operation from the ground up — and today, their children Dr. McKenna Andrews and Gage Andrews carry that legacy forward.
Every animal on this farm is raised with intention. We select for high-genetic EPD performance, structural soundness, and docility — producing cattle that perform in the pasture and at the sale barn.
How We Farm
From Pasture to Sale
Our Black Angus cattle graze on native Virginia grasses year-round. No grain finishing — just clean, natural forage that produces superior marbling and flavor.
Energy Independent
Andrews Farms runs on renewable solar energy. Our operation is fully powered by the sun — reducing our carbon footprint while keeping costs sustainable for the long term.
Land Stewardship
We practice rotational grazing, soil health management, and conservation tillage. Our land is healthier today than when we started — and we intend to keep it that way.
